Harakaat Flashcards: Dhammah, Kasrah, Fathah

In Reading Level 2 of the Quran o'Phonics Reading Program, we introduce the child to the 3 Harakaat or symbols: Dhammah, Kasrah and Fathah.

Knowledge of Harakaat is essential for reading and equips readers with the ability to read words. By combining their previously learnt knowledge of Alphabet sounds (Reading Level 1) with the sounds of the Harakaat, young readers are one step ahead in their Holy Quran reading journey.

Dhammah, Kasrah, Fathah - Coloured Flashcards

These coloured flashcards are to be used alongside the Quran o'Phonics Alphabet Flashcards. The Harakaat Flashcards are used in a number of activities to help the child see that the Harakaah is separate from the alphabet. See Teaching Guide RL 2: Harakaat.
